I agree! I think that if an establishment wants to practice proper hygiene, all of the steps need to be taken to assure sanitation. In public restooms. the soap dispenser, the faucet, the towel dispenser, the waste basket, and the door should all be hands-free. Anything less is a waste, as germs are all over! During flu season it is important to be safe.

Troy,
I don't have those statistics to give you, but it is an interesting question. In general, not enough hands free devices are used. I think either the public will demand them or the establishment managers will see the light.

I like this thought, I was wondering how many people would actually use this or simply get it dirty with their wet hands.

You wouldn't happen to have any information on approximately how many touchless dispensers of all kinds are in the market now? I am curious what percentage of public restrooms in the US are automated.

Thanks

Clean Escape is a sanitary door opener that mounts to the bottom of bathroom doors so that patrons can easily open the door with their foot.

I have another suggestion for those of you who have and/or work around kids. Remember young children are the #1 spreaders of germs, and they do so often. There is a way to keep them from spreading germs. Check out this great program: Germy Wormy Germ Awareness for Germ Transportation Vehicles ages 2 - 7. Kids learn in an innovative and imaginative way how to both avoid AND keep from spreading germs. Parents, schools and daycare centers are raving about it!

Give your kids a PLACE to give their germs- instead of you!
